Commercial real estate. There is always a segment that continues to do well. You can do land, investment, retail, office, industrial. Or a combination of two. I would not suggest more.

I have never sold a house nor do I have any interest.

Appraisers make EXCELLENT money and they don't have to wait for it until the house closes.

They swing by the property, make their estimate based on what they see. Then they look up on the internet to see what houses in that area are selling for, then give their final appraisal. They can do 4 or 5 properties a day easily.

I paid $350 for an appraisal 20 years ago on a 2 bedroom residential property. I can only imagine how much they get for one now.

Arlene M
try becoming an appraiser. it is a short class to become certified and money is good, and you can work for yourself.
