I read somewhere or another that the average (whatever that means) home in the Chicago area is roughly $260,000 or $270,000. Of course prices can vary widely. A one-bedroom condo in the right building can cost millions. A three-bedroom home in a rough neighborhood can be had for $50,000.
To buy a nice home in a nice neighborhood or suburb you will need $300,000 to $500,000. |
