just peace out. who cares, he can't sue you if there is no written agreement. and i doubt very much he will put in the effort to take you out for not renting from him. unless he is a psychopath. there are plenty of other renters out there. |

look for another place you really want and can trust it will be handled by a professional. get a rental agreement and make sure you read it carefully before you sign it. and if you don't understand anything in it have some one you know or an attorney read it over and cross the Ts and dot the I's .its best to be safe then sorry/ then when you get a chance soon , talk to the other land lord and let him/her know you have found another place more suited to your needs and end the conservation. its best to do this over the phone. that way there is no confrontation . NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING IN CASH. YOU WILL NOT HAVE A RECEIPT FOR IT AND THERE FOR YOU WILL HAVE NO PROOF YOU GAVE IT TO HIM. always pay by check, money order... and make sure you have his full name ion it and not just the name of his office. get his phone numbers and address as well.
don't take the first thing that comes along. make sure you like what you are getting and inspect it carefully before siging a lease recording everything that is wrong with it on paper. and also that the land lord inspect with you so you both know what it good and bad and needs fixed. then decide when it will be repaired...
