What kind of house should i get when i move?

Dude
It really depends.

If you have quite a large family, such as 4 people or more, get a single family home. It's great because:

- A lot of yard
- More rooms
- And if you like quiet&peaceful neighborhoods

And these if you like townhomes/condos:

- No yard work whatsoever
- A better way to get to know your neighbors
- Just live with a spouse or a roommate

Wow, really general, but I can tell you. Get a house that you'll be excited to get back to everyday. And nothing bigger than it needs to be.

You need work on what is within your budget and also if you're working, look for one that has public transportation convenience.

What kind of house would you like? There are many choices, single family, condo, town house, multi-family, etc. and every location in the country has something to offer. What type of home are you in now? Is that the type of home you want or do you want to change? Consider size, number of rooms, location, schools (even if you don't have school-age children), crime rates, area culture, etc. Remember a house is just a house until somebody makes it a home. Visit www.realtor.com or our web site to search for homes in your target area. It may give you an idea of what you're looking for. We wish you the best of luck!
