Depends on whether you are present or not, if you are not in then they will keep coming back until you are in. If you just so happen to be out every time the bailiff comes, then they can obtain a court order for police to gain entry to the property.
Also depends on how much you owe! |

If you open the door to them they are allowed in.
But you should always ask who is at the door before you open it, anyway.
By the way, what if someone opens the door but keeps it on the safety chain? Does that count the same? |

none untill they have set foot through your door, or the more ruthless ones can access your property if you leave window ect open......
they cannot force their way in when you open door, but if their foot gets in, they are then allowed full acess!!!!!! |

Until recently only baliffs with court orders could enter your property i.e for state debts although I'm sure I read somewhere that they've extended this power to some other but still not all. |

they can take anything they deem to be worth or part worth the value of your debt. in short, they can have off with all your stuff, reason with them and see if you can make an arrangement to pay the debt/s |

He has the law behind him and don't think that you stop them from entering your property. I think if your not there and you have left a window open or something they can enter. |

If they've contacted you and you havn't responded they can come whenever they like. Yes they can force entry with the use of a locksmith,and the cost will be added to your bill! Best thing to do is let them in,and make an agreement. Write down all your outgoings and wages,they can't take what you havn't got. Provide reciepts and proof if some of the things in your house don't belong to you. |
