Your landlord is being nice giving you 60 days. A landlord can take back his property with 30 days notice and he doesn't have to give you a reason.

If the owner gave you 60 days why don't you just leave and find another place..
I just gave someone 10 days notice and HE says it is not justified.. so I am sick of hearing people proclaim unfounded grounds with nothing to back them up..

drewxjacobs
What are the unfounded reasons the owner claims? Have you violated the terms of your lease in any way? 60 days notice is generous and if your lease is up and you are month to month, you have no rights.

if you have a lease; compare his reasons to the components of the
lease.

IF you have no lease, you are SOL [out of luck]

What does your lease say? If you are not on a lease, you're renting month-to-month and the landlord can terminate on 30 days' notice.

infinite crisis 247
check the lease against the reason that you are being evicted. that will tell you if this is fair or not. also, your landlord is giving you 60 days. industry standard is 30, so your landlord is already doing you a solid here. if your eviction is justified, you most likely will not be able to slow the process beyond the time frame that he gave you.

Trouble
If the landlord has chosen to NOT renew your lease and your lease is about to end, the landlord can give you 60 days notice to move without cause or reason.

He doesn't need a reason as long as he gives proper notice.
