My family and I would like to go to a place that's somewhat similiar to Chicago to live.Please advise from the 3 states which state can we have the same way of living (somewhat face pace), recreational things to do (i.e. movies, bowling, dance clubs etc.), education is good and the cost of living is reasonable. I live in Texas, so I am biased!.....
A city you would love in Texas is Austin, which may be similar to Chicago.....
It is beautiful with so many things to do....People have a real laid back spirit, a lot of diversity and it has a wonderful arts community......People tend to be accepting and tolerant....I lived there for 3 years and I love it and made some wonderful friends....
People are great, the geography is beautiful, the weather is warm, the housing is very affordable, there is so much to do....Look into it... |

Tennessee. No state or local income tax, plenty of decent jobs, good medical care, temperate climate, numerous lakes and mountains and friendly people. Murfreesboro or Smyrna are good family oriented communities and excellent places to rear kids. 50 universities are in the Nashville area. You will find all you seek here. I've lived here nearly 20 yrs now, can not imagine being any place else. |

I'm a resident of Georgia and have lived here for thirty four years. As a resident I would highly recommend it. I've never been to Texas but I've been to Tenn. It's about a an hour and a half drive from where I live. I really can't tell you that much about Texas or Tenn. but I can tell you in my opinion Georgia is a great place to live and raise a family. It does have all the things you mentioned as I'm sure the other two states do as well. But I would say Georgia. |
