That old adage of Location Location Location is the most important thing for me.
You can change most things in a house with a bit of DIY (or a lot!) but you can't change the fact that the house is next door to a pub, or next to a river. |

Bare minimum:
•Must be in good condition (no rotting, free of termites or other infestations)
•Okay neighbors (very few attack dogs, passes a map check for convicted predators)
•Has to be safe from floods
•Must be within 15 minutes of a hospital |

The most important thing, to me, is that I can afford it even if my spouse becomes unemployed.
Of course the size of rooms, the yard can be a factor, as can location.
As for decoration, no, because you can change it to suit YOU. |

I am not handy w/ tools so i try to look for reasonable homes in my area that are brand new. It would be my first home but not my last so I just want to enjoy having a brand new place. I prefer to pay $200k + for a new home rather than an old home. (Just my opinion) I also have to have a great master suite, two sitting areas and 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. |

It has to be brand new and on a good new housing estate (preferably in a gated community) in a nice area. Then the room sizes and size of garden matter. |
