Sure you can. Why not? But here's the reality most people face when they try FSBO - For Sale By Owner. After a few weeks of having to get home from work early or miss a night out to show the house, after a few people come in and you get the feeling they couldn't afford your bed linens never mind afford to make an offer, after a few sharks step in and offer you 1/2 what the property's worth, you're going to get a sense of just how hard a Realtor works for his money.
By-the-way, I'm NOT a Realtor so please don't think I'm pushing anything here.
Just because you state in your ad "No Agents" doesn't bind them by any law stating that they can't contact you anyway. And they will. If you do come across an agent that has a legit buyer for the property, don't let him list the house. Rather offer him 2% as a finder's fee after the transaction. Most will jump on it.
Keep in mind a good Realtor will pre-qualify anyone who wants to see your home, advertise and list you on the MLS. All without charge. Selling the property yourself is not for the faint of heart. Think it through. |

Just go to wal-mart and get a .97 cent sign and put it in your front yard. You are under absolutely no obligation to get (or pay) an agent.
BUT once you get an offer, its in your own best interest to get a Real Estate Attorney to read over the contract and help you through closing.... it will only cost a few hundred bucks and it will be WELL worth it!! |

Sure, but of course the agents won't be showing your property too much! Most people are willing to pay these fees to anyone who brings in a buyer. |

As long as you do NOT hire an agent yourself, you may do it. Otherwise, it depends on the contract with your agent.
If you do not hire angent, then read any offer you receive very carefully. Despite what you advertise, if the offer you sign states you will pay a commission, then you will have to pay it. |

Yes, just use the for sale by owner sign/logo. In other words, you are under no obligation to use an agent, but be warned, there is a lot of paperwork and you better know what you are doing. Are you in California? There is an outfit called, Help-U-Sell, contact them to see what their fees are. |

Yes, you can. You do not owe a commission unless you agree to pay one. However, no agent that I know will show your home unless s/he has an expectation of getting paid if they bring a the successful buyer. You are probably cutting yourself off from a good source of buyers, but that's your choice. |

If you are selling your home yourself, you do not have to pay any agency or agent to sell your home. You have EVERY right to decline these fees. However, if you are utilizing the services of a licensed real estate agent, it will be very difficult to find a realtor willing to work for FREE!!!!!!
This is your home, you can do as you like. The best policy, is to be up-front with people and tell them of your desires to decline any commission based agents working for you.... the seller. As long as you do not sign any listing agreements or such documents, you are not obligated to pay anyone to sell your home for you. |

You mean advertise that way? Sure, but it will cost you more money to advertise that way because it will make the ad go longer. What you could do though is when agents call, just tell them you're not interested and not to call anymore. |

Yes you can, but you need to be aware that your house may take a long time to sell because of this. You will be responsible for all the paperwork (you will still need an escrow company to go through or possibly a real estate attorney).
There is also a website: FSBO.com where you can advertise. |

You have total control over how and when to sell your home. If you have the ability to get the home exposure and complete the necessary forms (or hire an attorney to do so), you're good to go. |

You certainly can and you can and should make that really clear in all of your advertising. We as Agents are not allowed to contact you if this is expressed on your sign and in all of your other marketing. |

I might suggest you do not use an agent or a real estate broker. I don't think they would sell your house for free. That being said you can sell it yourself, however it will not get the exposure you need to sell it unless you are in a really desireable location. A seller's agent is worth the $$$. |

Yes, in most states you can reject an offer that includes you making the commission payment to their Realtor. Just counteroffer with the buyer paying their own real estate Realtors fees. they might accept it, you never know.
Good luck! |
