Apartments are always listed in this way:
Price: is for the entire apartment
BR: is for your information regarding number of people who can live there, perhaps you have a child and you want the child to sleep in their own room, etc.
SQ FT: Area of floor space within the apartment, heated or A/C space, not including exterior porches, garages, etc.
They are never priced per bedroom. In your example, you would have to pay $1200 per month... you get to have 2 bedrooms, you may be able to lease the 2nd bedroom to a friend but you would be responsible for the whole $1200. You can determine what you would charge the friend, it doesn't have to be half. Since you are taking responsibility for the whole amount, you can charge more than half, $750 for example....

It means 1200 per month. If you can find a roommate its $600 per person, otherwise you're on the hook for the entire amount. Make sure you both sign the lease so you both are responsible. |

It means the rent for the apartment is 1200 dollars. Whoever signs the lease is responsible for that amount, regardless of how many people are living there. If the listing mentions square footage, it will say something like 1200 sq ft. |
