You state disability, so is that SS or VA?

If it's SS, then a county social worker should be able to help you find affordable housing; perhaps with a roommate?

If it's VA, then talk to one of the counselors there who should help you find proper housing WRT your disability.

The dwellings exist, with or without a roommate, to fit a variety of budgets. But YOU have to make the first move.

Good Luck!

Kay
You could start by talking to your case worker/social worker. They may be able to provide you with a referral. You also might try your local HUD authority that may be able to assist with a Section 8 voucher. Depending on where you are that could open up your options.

Good luck!

The least expensive living quarters are usually in the seedy part of town. You might be better off renting a room from a family or from someone who is offering a room for rent.

Try the YMCA. Sometimes a small mobile home. Rent a room (as others have said). Some old hotels are converted to single rooms for rent.
(I bet you did not expect some of the Negative put down comments from Republicans, or whoever they are). It is a sad comment on our society when these poor excuses for humans answer a call for help from a disabled person with negative comment about you. Hitler didn't like disabled people, he killed them.

Call United Way First Call For Help Their number is 211. I don't know if it's a universal number. They can help you with that.

LADY AT THE LAKE
Contact your social worker and they have a list of providers.

Hello Ron,
This depends on where you live. You might be able to share with other people that have a disability. Contact community care if in Australia, they might be able to give you some advice
