Where in the US is land the least expensive?
looking for a website or facts that would tell. acerage residential land, not commerical.

dude
the further you get away from civilization and basic services. as far as cities go, look at the demand (detroit is getting cheaper with so many people leaving...) it also depends how far on the outskirts of the city you are willing to go (ie, the further away from civilization again...)

Adios
The land is least expensive where there is the least demand. You would have to search various states and counties to find the "least" expensive land. Start with the states with the least population.

Treesy
My best guess would be rural Alaska. You also might consult a real estate agent. Doesn't cost anything until you purchase.

WHO
I think in Alasca....try Nome or Fairbanks

Alabama. Alabama also has the lowest property taxes in the country.

Try a land-locked location. No beach front property or private islands. Oklahoma may be an option. You would certainly have plenty of variety in landscape. It depends on where you live in the state.
