In Iowa where people are bailing out from their farms you can buy one cheap with many acres. Your next door neighbor is 20 miles away. Your (non-farm) job could be 50 miles away. But you do get home and land cheap. |

Try Wisconsin. My reason for this statement:
My daughter bought a 93 acre, four bedroom farmhouse in Wisconsin, and the total cost of this home was $85,000. It is a wonderful place, sits high on a hill, and is beautiful. The price of this property here in New York State would be well over one million dollars. So I would think that one with an acre would be much much less in Wisconsin. Also North Dakota or Montana. I hope this helps you. |
