Hello
Where is the cheapest place to live in the US?
I am trying to move on the east coast. Does anyone know? I am trying to get an apartment.

Every state on the east coast has places that are cheap to live in.
First pick which state you want and how much you want to spend. Figure out how far away from your job that you will travel (miles or time) even new york has very cheap places to live.

In Kokomo, Indiana—one of the top three cheapest cities in the Midwest—the average home cost only $94,000, $5,000 cheaper than a home in Indianapolis and about $50,000 less than the national average. And while Kokomo is the birthplace of the automobile, the air quality remains one of the best in the country. What else makes this city cheap? Try on its anemic average salary: The personal per capita income of Kokomo ranks 72nd in the country, providing an average of $25,053.

Joplin, MO. One of the lowest cost of living areas in the country. Wages are low, but you can by a liveable house for well under $100,000 or a palace for about $200,000 to $250,000. Gas is right at $2.52 a gallon today.
