Don't know where abouts in UK you are looking at but Scotland is slightly cheaper than the rest of the country. For example you can get three bedroomed properties in the Glasgow area for around about £90,000. You might want to check this website out to give you some ideas

I would go with Ireland.
You can buy a cottage in Ireland (say in Kerry County) for like E80K... and then rent it out in the summer for E800/ a week.
Belfast was also a good idea, just not too much in that price range... |

What do you want to buy? A four bed house with 10 acres of land or a tiny flat?
90k won't buy you a flat in most places and TBH most places that are ever going to come up have come up - anything else is estate agent BS.
