There is really no way of answering this without more information.

Why don't both of you (separately) write a list of things you want in a city. Consider aspects like size, climate, culture, sports and recreation, distance from friends and family, higher education, crime level, etc. and then compare your lists. From these you can narrow your choices down.

Actually, I admire what you are doing. It will be an adventure as well as a new beginning. How exciting for you both!

I think the best city to live is a less violent city. If you don't wanna live in an earthquake zone or a tornado zone, Seattle is the best city. Although it's rainy all season long, it sometimes pause the rain and normally the sun will come out for a short time.

I would say New York City because it has the best of everything... from schools, to cultural activities, to Broadway shows, and the variety of foods.

Considering the category you chose, you seem to be thinking about how expensive housing is. Rents in the big cities are HIGH. In smaller communities, rents and housing is a lot less expensive. However, employment opportunities can be more limited, too.

The one where you're the happiest.
Chicago is awesome.
Orlando is my hometown and I love it, however, it's no longer the best city to live in, unfortunately.
I'd choose Chicago or Baltimore or Annapolis, MD.

Depends on if you like the city life or the country life. Single no kids, go to California if you can afford it. The South is good too. Unless, you like lots of snow I'd stay away from the Northern states. Hummm...maybe somewhere on the coast eastern or western.
