Which house do I buy???
number 1- is a big white farm house in the country new roof 1010 sq feet good circuit breaker with new gas stove in kitchen and nice carpet just needs some cleaning
with an upstairs. new garage 2 car detached! it is 10 miles out of town.
asking price 47,000!
(neighborhood ok) and good on the other side!

number 2- house is on slab 2 bedrooms only 600 sq feet with a fuse box but it is on a good main drag. yet it is a 27 min drive to the main city i hang out in! It also has a 2 car garage detached! house has a new roof. yet it has it only little city! and it is only 35,000 asking price!
( better neighborhood)immediately

I presently am renting and miss owning my own
home!

this would be number 5 house for me!

I need to decide!
on a home to get out of this paying rent i think!

I would go with number 1...more space and close to town.

Gosh...where are you living....you can't even find a house for less than 300K where I live!

Landlord
The 1st one, avoid the main drag.

600 sq ft shouldn't be considered a house. I've lived in bigger apartments - go with #1

i would go with house no 1 sounds like a better place to raise a family if you have one or one plane to have one

Go with #1. If it has a fuse box that means it has not been updated to today's standards and could be a hazard or at least cause you problems down the road. That means you would have to have it rewired (costly). The neighbors may move so your problems with the hood would be over!
PS: If you don't take it let me know where it is, I might buy it for that price

#1 for sure. #2 being on a main drag can be noisy, and you don't know who's going to be hanging around the street. Plus, #1 is closer to emergency care if you ever need it. Good luck!

I believe you should put a contract on #1 because it seems like a nicer and bigger house. But to be on the safe side, put a contingency contract on House #2

Good Luck!

#1 sounds best, of course. #2 sounds like a nightmare! Don't buy anything without having a professional home inspection service look at it, though. Sometimes it may look like a gem, but looks can be deceiving.

I'll add my vote for #1. Not having a commute + having more space is priceless. Definitely worth the extra $12,000 and the mortgage payment is probably not much higher per month.
