Which mortgage companies will lend 5 times my wage or more?
I'm in the uk
Additional Details
I'm already paying out the amount i would be repaying on a mortgage 5 times my salary, on an existing mortgage and loans. Equity in my current house would pay of my loans. Luckily we arnt struggling with our money, so we would be able to comfortable repay a much higher mortgage

The is very high.

I recommend that you never go above 3 times your annual income, and even that is high.

If you do manage to get a mortgage amount that high you will probably be very miserable unless you have some excellent prospect for a rapid rise in your income.

In the current environment if you are anticipating a rapid rise in your income, I recommend that you wait until you actually have the increse in your income before you purchase.

I any event I recommend that you do not go any higher than three times your annual income.

The majority of mortgage lenders offer certain products that would be 5x income but you have to meet their criteria, i.e you have to have a pass A credit rating, which means that you have never had any bad credit, ccj's or defaults, you will also need to have good conduct bank statements and be able to provide proof of income, this will also affect the interest rate that would be offered, contact an independant mortgage broker for advice, they will search around for you and find the best products available with high street lenders like the Abbey and Woolwich to name a few. Make sure you dont get charged a fee for this service, a reputable broker will provide advice for free and only charge a small fee for arranging the mortgage for you.

Directline, make sure you invest in a fixed rate mortgage to start you off. That will help you budget at the beginning.

psychopiet
Presently that will be difficult, it depends a bit on how much of your own capital (you do have that?) you are willing to cough up. Check the internet-sites of the providers for their latest offers.

Mortgages are based onyour credit score for one, and also your income to debt ratio. If you don't have much debt, and have a decent income, you will get the amount you are requesting.
