Perfectionist
Which one is better?
to stay on in a house with neighbours which are awfully rude to you and tehy are older than you and unfriendly BUT its nearer to the kids school etc with a 30k mortgage

or should I move in a house of my choice debt free and start a fresh start

poonaforyou_2006
Life should be tension free as far as it is possible therefore try with the fresh start

you question is confusing,

stay or go?

only you can make that decision, it sounds like you already have. Why wouldn't anyone want to get out of their mortgage and live debt free and start a fresh start.

humm unless,.. you'll be having to live by someone else's' rules and expectations?

How could you start over in a new house of your choice debt free? please share

Be sure to check out the new neighborhood. In any case you take your chances as to what kind of neighbors you will have.

Suzy
Start over.

Sadly, having terrible neighbors can make life miserable for you and your family. Think about the school system for your kids and put them in the best area you can afford to be in for them and hopefully you will have better neighbors. Good luck!

New start..If you have that much bad stuff to say about your neighbor, then its unhealthy for you to be around them.

A home is a place where you return from your daily grind to rest. You shouldn't have to go home to put up with your neighbor.

livelovelife
You should make a fresh start. Changing schools is a common event in children's lives and they should be able to adjust relatively easily, even if they don't like the idea at first.

Follow your heart. But remember, life is short. Why be miserable. You will probably be there long after the kids are grown and gone. So, do what is best for yourself.

someone, somewhere
If you don't like where you live, move!

cher
you should start over
get a new start
thats the best thing to do

connnanza
if your unhappy a fresh start would be great!! do whatever will make you and your family happier!

Elsa
If you can move into a great house without debt, it sounds like it would be worth a little extra travel time for the kids. If your current home is an excellent investment, consider keeping it and perhaps renting it out. This is not an easy time to sell in most markets. Good luck...

Hmm?
follow your heart... if you're not happy, there's no better way to let yourself know thats not the situation you want to be in

Dave
Neighbors come and go but kids last for a LONG time. Do what's best for them. Personally, uprooting them from their present school and moving to a new house (with possible new problems) vs a $30k mortgage doesn't sound all that appealing.

To be in a good school sometimes people suffer through a bad neighbor situation. It is completely up to you but remember if you are selling, this may also shine through to the new buyers and thus leaving your home sitting on the market. Remember the old saying location location location!!!
Also you must disclose disclose disclose to the new buyers...
Hope this helps

Dont let the nieghbours worry you. Iknow this is easier said than done, sit down and think of all the advantages and disadvantages. Hope you find the right answer.

There's no guarantee your new neighbors will be nice.
Have you tried talking to your neighbors to see what their problem is? It could be something very minor that you could easily fix.

haven
Fresh start. Who cares where your kids go to school? Do they walk? Find a school closer to where you move to.
