Who hates landlords more than me ??? (landlords need not comment)?
I despise all of them so much, they are the lamest people in England them and estate agents.

Would you vote for a political party that made it very difficult for these people to live ??

Think about it, house prices are so high in England because a large percentage of sales are made to those greedy thieving rats who then rent out the property at extremely high prices (difference between rent and mortgage is very little). If you are renting you are paying off their mortgage.

Would you vote for a political party that exterminated Landlords and allowed you to buy a house at a reasonable price ???

FOR THE RECORD: I OWN MY OWN PROPERTY. Okay. NO ONE SHOULD MAKE A LIVING OUT OF RENTING PROPERTY. I WOULD MAKE THIS ILLEGAL IF I WAS PRIMEMINISTER. THEY SHOULD ALL GET A JOB. WHY ARE PEOPLE IN ENGLAND SO SOFT IN THE HEAD (OR IS THIS ANOTHER QUESTION). ALL I AM SAYING IS THAT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE CHANCE TO OWN THEIR OWN PROPERTY BUT THESE SCUM BAGS HELPED MAKE ENGLAND A CRAP PLACE TO LIVE. I WOULD NEVER EVER BE A LANDLORD

Mystery
oh the stories i could tell you....

our only good landlord is our current one but its his only time he's rented out a house and he only owns the one and we're his first tenants so we got lucky. he bends over backwards to keep us happy, but everyone else we've had has been a rip off in at least one way.

Suzy
There are some awful tenants out there too.

Muley Bob
So what, you are saying they shouldn't make a living? Renting property is how they pay their bills. If you don't want to pay their mortgage you should get your own mortgage. Besides if you ever had to clean up behind dirty rat bastard renters you'd be singing a different tune.

No I wouldn't vote for a party who made it difficult for landlords to "live". Landlords are not the reason for a shortage in affordable housing, they are essential part of the housing market and supply property to people who are on the move lot through their job or whatever and to people who need temporary accommodation and to people who may not be able get on the property ladder (The rent may sometimes be the same as a mortgage, but there are a lot of other costs such as down payment to take into consideration as well) No doubt i will get a lot of thumbs down for this answer, but i wont lose any sleep over it. yes ( I'm a landlord )
PS. You sound like a bit of a kn*b head to me and i would doubt you own any sort of property as you clearly aren't to bright.

hightechchic
Ooh -- let me guess, you think they should rent it to you at a LOSS?

Oh my, you really are going to have a difficult time making it in the world if you're operating under that kind of delusion! Grow up -- people go through the hassle of renting property (and it IS a HUGE hassle) in order to make money. That's the ONLY reason anyone would bother to do it.

So, if you don't like it, then go by your own property and stop whining.

I've got a job and rent out a property to help me with a pension when I retire. I know that in 10 or 15 years time my pension from the Government will be almost zilch, so I'm just trying to make things a little easier in the years to come. To do this, I've had to re-mortgage my own home as a deposit for another. Try it and don't label everyone the same. My tenants are friends - except those of course who have tried to fleece me over the years!!! My philosophy in life is to treat others in the manner you would wish to be treated yourself, so I'm not a bad person I can assure you.

The word RENT implies the owner is in business to make a PROFIT.

Gee do you think your lanlord purchased this property just so you could live there by not paying?

Bob D
was there a real question or just a rant?

Gerald
You sound bitter cause you are not rich enough to buy houses and rent them out... If you think it is better here US states --- you are wrong. Everything is rotten hi -- I simpthize with you but there is nothing to be done except get rich...

So you're suggesting restricting everyone's freedom instead? People should not be told by any government how they should invest their money. Some people like the stock market, some people like real estate. Where do you then draw the line if you want to restrict freedoms? If I don't like the color of your shirt today, should I then make it very difficult for you to live too?
If you got your wish, prices wouldn't go down - not everyone can qualify to purchase a home, that's why they rent. Homes would just be sitting empty and renters would be homeless. Is that what you really want?

im n tha US but i wanna share my mean landlord story anyway. . .my landlord calls me the week b4 the rent is due to remind me and then again the next day or so cause she is old and forgets she has called me already.

reenzz
So going on your theory...most of that God forsaken country (yes I've been there) would be homeless.

USA all the way!!!!!

anaise
I can't say I agree with you because I have never lived in England. But, as far as living in the US, I can say that most landlords are not too savy when it comes to real estate and tenants. Most of them merely have dollar signs stuck in their pupils. There are some landlords that give a hoot about their property and want a certain type of tenant who will take care while renting. If you don't look the part, they'll pass and make up excuses to not rent to you. Or then again, they may increase the rent, to get you out.

The politicians like the landlords , because the landlords are the property owners who pay taxes..... the same is here as well rent pays off the property , after that it is income for the land lords ,

If you want to rid the world of land lords , then everyone needs to stop renting . If they could get greed out of the housing market , everyone could afford a home , That is why the U.S. housing is in bad shape , everybody ,and their mother tried to profit off the market , that boosted prices ,and profit margins so high , now people are stuck with losing the house , or paying tripple the real value ....greed is mankinds downfal , it always has been

emjay
aahh! i hate them too!

my cuntface neighbor broke my automatic garage door , so i complained to the landlord and she didn't do anything! all she said,
"well from now on you just have to open it manually"

ahh!!! i hate my meth face neighbor and giant mouth landlord!!
