You should check your lease. If it does not state who makes the repair, you should ask your landlord to do it. If they refuse, check your states landlord/tenants laws for further help. |

You have to check your lease agreement... I have seen some leases where the leasee takes the responsibility of repair and upkeep...
YOU may also need to get a consultation.... If it is a preexisting problem then the landlord has to pay.... If it is deemed your fault you have to pay... |

regardless to what the repair is, the landlord should always pay and repair any problems with the property, that should be in the lease, if they say they won't repair it then you have a problem because by law they are responsible for the house as long as you have done something wrong to it yourself! |
