Who will refinance our mortgage that is in foreclosure?
We are in foreclosure, it has not yet been sent to the mortgage companys legal department but it is just a matter of time. Is there anyone who knows who might refinance us so we don't lose our home? Our best credit score at the moment is 565. We have good steady income and can make a payment up to 800.00 a month. Any and all help is welcome.
Additional Details
For Landlords information, our income became lower when my husbands job position changed. We reported it to the mortgage company to see if we qualified for Mortgage assistance or help. They too 3 months before they responded and said they could take 50.00 off our payment, by then we were allready behind. We don't have credit cards, we don't have any outside bills except for our 1 car insurance. No cable, No phone. We keep the heat on 63 to keep the bill down. We have no help from the local social services, no medical insurance. We have nothing but our home. Our original payment was supposed to be 574.00 a month. You tell me how it got to 877.00 on a fixed rate!!!.
The mortgage company can't . We aren't "refusing" to pay anyone "LANDLORD", and as for "ripping someone off", you talk as if you are familiar with this???
Thanks to those who don't judge before knowing all the facts. God Bless you all.

It is not happening. You not only have bad credit but you are already refusing to repay one bank. No other bank is going to step up and volunteer to be ripped off by you.

If you have good steady income, why didn't you keep up your payments?

if your payments are anywhere near $800 per month. Quit paying everything else and GET YOUR MORTGAGE CAUGHT UP!!!

You can lose credit cards and automobiles, but you gotta have a house to live in.

I know housing market is down, but it will come back up!!!

Don't lose your house at any cost!!!!!!

565 is a pretty bad credit score for refinancing a home.. I am not sure that any lender will refinance it for you now.. especially if it's dropped since you purchased the home. Is there any way you can rent it out to make the mortgage payments? A short sale would be better than a foreclosure at all costs. Best Wishes.

You should check with your local lending facilities for the loan information however: I am pretty sure that once the home is in foreclosure, you cannot do anything with it accept to pay the current lender and bring the loan to a current dollar amount.

You must obtain from their legal representatives (They will get a Law Firm) a reinstatement and pay off amount. (That is the total amount that you owe them to bring the loan current to date) They will explain the process to you. IF you can bring the loan to a current status, you can avoid the foreclosure process in most cases.

While you are doing this, check with other lenders who may refinance you. If you do find one that is affordable and who accepts you, you may be able to borrow enough money in addition to the home value so that you can bring the loan current. It is unusual but it is possible.

The interest rates have dropped in recent Months. Even though your credit score is a little low, your points may not be too bad with the rates having been lowered.

Good luck. Start looking for alternate lenders.

If you can afford $800 and the payment is now $877, you only need $77 a month extra. Refinancing will be extremely difficult as long as you are delinquent. Try getting a weekend job at Taco Bell..even 5 hours of minimum wage work per week would more than cover the extra $77 you need. That way you can keep your home and you don't have to worry about refinancing.

First off don't let unknowleged people get you down!!! As a Mortgage Consultant and Certified Loss Mitigation Consultant I know you have many alternatives to foreclosure. The first think you need to do is talk to a realtor you trust and ask for a referral to a local Mortgage Company this is set up to do FHA loans. FHA is not credit based and they rolled out a program last year called FHASecure. This was rolled out to help people who can't afford their current mortgage payments do to their payments going up from adjustable rate mortgage. You very well my qualify for this and be able to refinance your home. If you are unable to do this and you need help negotiating with you lender visit www.homeownersavoidforeclosure.com. Freedom Foreclosure Prevention Services has a 98% success rate negotiating with lenders on the borrowers behalf to get either a forebearance, loan modification for something else as a work out plan. Don't hesitate to email me for more information and keep your head up, you do have alternatives!!!

You know its really sad that all these people are being rude to you. Wait till they get bad times in there life. The bad times are coming. First ask someone any one you know to help you get it current. Ask for help!!!!!!!!

Then call the mortgage company and explain to them your situation. Ask them for help. You have to get it current. how many months late are you? what is your amount due?

I do agree with one post. Pay your mortgage first then everything else. Get a second job if you have too.

Best of luck, Email me if you need any other postive advise.

Also There are many people out there with lower scores then you and getting mortgages. But they have to be current on there mortgage. Good luck!
