And over-boiled cabbage!
People must continually piss themselves whilst walking up to the 20th floor because the lifts have broken! |

I`m afraid they do...also there are lots of homeless in the capital who will sleep in any bit of shelter they can..they haven't access to toilets... |

People who live there tend to be at the bottom end of the social spectrum. These people have a greater spontaneous urge to piss in public places. That is why council flats stink of piss. |

Yes they definitely do. I've seen them do it. They also smell of stew and baked potatoes at certain parts of the day. At night, theres a lot of banging too - doors and other types.... |

Knowing right from wrong would help them but they are to lazy to even get themselves to a toilet let alone seek enlightment of the world we all live in!! So, YES! They do piss there. Try getting a flat at the top! |

get a bigger budget or a better property agent that will show you flats with stairwells that dont stink of piss the reason the stairwells are full of piss is the tennants take this piss of people that are up themselves and throw it against the wall!! |

Yes they do because there is a distinct lack of caretaking it should be an everyday occurance but they don't do this at all. If you live in these properties then you could get a hose and wash it down yourself. |

Obviously the one that you have seen are the ones where they do. But I am sure it is not the same in all of them. |

It's standard practise for all the nonces to piss anywhere they think fit - just look inside your average lift in a council block. Note I said Look, not Ride - most of them don't work either because they've been vandalised - by the people who piss in them, oddly enough! |
|

stevie b
 |
its because poor people live there and cant afford a toilet, im supprised they do it in the stairway and not over the balcony from the top floor |

I'm afraid they do, that's the mentality of these people.

There seems to be a pattern forming here. Do they smell if piss a few seconds after you arrive? Maybe you should consider getting a wash. |

Some People Like The Smell Of Piss In Their Houses?
At first I paid no heed to this comment, but the more time went by and the more of these houses and the inhabitants that I encountered I started to think about it and came to several conclusions. The first thing that you must consider is that the smell of piss is common throughout all social housing estates. Piss was only a small element of the whole constituent smell found in the old council houses but still a predominantly unmistakeable odour. The smell of piss was less common in the more modern council house but still there most of the time, usually it would come from the garden or the rear of the house or very commonly the side entry, but still when you entered the modern dwellings it was usually there, sometimes strong sometimes weak but usually there. The high rise flat that was actually designed during the late fifties and built during the sixties was a design that was aimed at modern clean living and as an escape from the smell of piss. This thinking was at that time in the new politically correct manner. This was an attempt at blaming the building design rather than the people that lived in these buildings. It was designed to create a modern clean utopian form of living as all the early films made when they first emerged portrayed. It did not work. The Inhabitants of these flats were invariably the sons and daughters of the people from the old council’s estate. True to say that some of their prodigy had become socially mobile and bought property, cheap as it was back then. More so from the newer council estate and less so from the old. The high rise flats unfortunately became high rise slums and the majority of which where demolished during the late 90’s. The very first thing that hit you as you walked into the entrance of these buildings was the familiar smell of piss. You have to endure it as you climb the stairs, if you take the lift it is far worse. During the summer it is unbearable. To accompany the smell as you climb the stairs the new at the time form of art would be displayed on the walls, graffiti. Some people welcome graffiti as some form of modern art, it is. It is the modern art created by the same people that pissed on the stairs; usually you will find amateurish drawings of genitals accompanied with Julie is a slag or Wolves forever or the like. While it true to say that the inhabitants of these dwellings indisputably have the right to live as they please and choose their own art forms and odours it is still difficult to see this lifestyle as desirable. The people that inhabited these new utopian dwellings obviously did not find them fit for purpose so decorated them as they saw fit, why did they do this? A protest maybe, a protest against what? They only pay around 20% of the real rent value as the rent being subsidised means that the tax payer picks up the other 80%, assuming of course that these people work at all otherwise the tax payer is paying the lot. It always raises an eyebrow when I hear pity expressed for these people. People say “oh it’s such a shame for these poor people, having to live in those awful conditions!” I think not. If you go to Dudley zoo and go into the giraffe house it absolutely stinks. It stinks of giraffe’s. If you walk into the high rise flat or the old council house it stinks. It stinks of the people that live in them!
The smell is no more offensive to the council tenant than the giraffe house it is to the giraffe and after all why should it be, it is after all the familiar and welcoming smell of home. I also noted that when on the occasions that my council housed friends visited the homes of the friends that lived in the florally scented private houses that they would at once seem uneasy and nervous. Comments made such as “ooh laa dee daa!” An obviously derogatory comment, pertaining to the smell and décor in a clean hygienic dwelling. But when visiting each others houses where they have had to walk past numerous turds and the pervasive smell of piss was very eminent they would instantly relax and feel at home.
So I would conclude, that yes. Some people do indeed like the smell of piss in their houses.
Also please bear in mind before feeling pity or sorrow for these people that is their piss!

You would be suprised how some people live. The council went to one house around here and they had chopped up the staircase and doors, using a rope to get upstairs, and piss everywhere. They were not evicted and got a new staircase. |
