To earn equity.
Tax incentives.
To have more space than apartment living provides.
To be able to redecorate or re-build as he sees fit.
To prepare for married life.
Because he really likes the area, and has no plans of moving no matter what.
He can always rent the house if he should find his living situation changing. |

Because he wants more space than an apartment.
Because he wants the space if he ever gets married.
Because he thinks the house will go up in value and will be a good investment. |

More space, more control over their living arrangement, investment, likes the house, good location, nice amenities.
Basically same reasons a married man would buy one. |

because he is smart, its better than flushing rent money down the toilet every month, when you buy a house(provided you can afford it) you build equity, that payment you make every month goes towards you owning something i.e. a house, when you rent, you never see the money again....EVER |

Any single man that owns a home is smarter the the person that asked this question. It's so obvious, there many reason above that are all obvious. |

as an unmarried loner, i dont see the point of buying a house. of course because of debt, im back with my parents. even with no debt, no one to share the house with so whats the point? its gets lonely and boring living by yourself after a while. |
