Ususally not but it will state if it does or not in your tenancy agreement. |

There are complexes out there that offer "all bills paid"; however, these are usually in the not so nice parts of town, so run the other way if you see one of those! If you get into a decent complex you can count on paying at least electricity. My electric bill last month in a two bedroom ran $157.00. (USD)The one that I am in now also charges their own bill for water and garbage. I have a two bedroom apartment in it runs about $26.40 (USD) a month-- a real deal compared to owning a house! |

I doubt it very much, you will have to budget for all those extras too I'm afraid. if you are in UK just pay it all by DD, so much easier. It's better to look for a place with a water meter so you pay only for what you use. |

just trying to make a difference

it's very unlikely that they will be included in your rent unless you rent a small bedsit type of place.
you will have gas, electric, water, and council tax to pay. along with other things like phone bill and contents insurance if you take it out.
to give you a rough guide your council tax may be in the region of £15 a week if it's just you and your in a band A property (this is the cheapest)
Water charges could vary - if you are not on a meter then get one put in (with your landlord's permission of course) then for one person you are only looking at about £4 a week.
Gas and electric will vary depending on whether you have central heating or storage heaters, and whether you have a gas or electric cooker. again as a rough guide it may cost £8 a week for gas and £6 a week for electric.
I hope this helps you, although it's just a guide it is based on personal experience. |

Sometimes water is included, it depends on local laws. Same with the garbage bill, sometimes the landlard has to pay that one.
Power is always paid by the person using it, not the landlord. |

This all depends on the type of property you rent i know of students who pay about 75 a week and thats all in but if you rent a flat you wont just have gas and electric you will need to pay council tax, house insurance, tv licence, phone the list is endless and you should do a check on the flat as if the previous owners were black listed, had bad credit then that will be on the property so you will find it hard to get credit. |

You don't say where you live, so am guessing maybe USA?
In Australia the water bills are covered by your landlord, whereas electricity and heating would be your own expense. |

no there extra unless stated by your landlord |

No. These facilities will not be covered in rent, in almost all cases. If you are single, occupying a single room, use these facilities to the barest minimum, then the owner may oblige. If he says OK then do not forget to add these criteria in agreement papers. |

If you are not sharing a bathroom/ kitchen/living room with anybody else you will probably have to pay all of the bills yourself. Including water, council tax, sewage, gas, electricity tv license.
Its worth shopping around though because there are some where the water and/or council tax are paid for you but this will be stated in the price for a flat in the advertisement.
To get round all the bills get a room in a house share.
Good point above about the council tax. If you're alone then you can claim a 25% discount but its not automatic and you will need to fill in a form for it. |

If they are included, it will say so in the advert. It's a good selling point - as you can imagine! |

You will be liable for all the utilities. If you will be the sole occupant you will be entitled to a 25% discount on the council tax. You will also need contents insurance for your items. If the property comes with domestic appliances you maybe liable for repair or replacement check with the agent/tenancy agreement.
Hope this helps

Very unlikely these will be included in your rental payment. Occasionally, if you rent a room in a house these might be included but not if you take on the tenancy of a property for yourself as you may run up unusually high bills for your landlord to have to cover.
You must budget carefully if you have not lived on your own before - consider gas, electricity, water, council tax, insurance, tv licence...... its expensive out there! Good luck. |
