Would $50,000 annually be enough to live in San Diego?
...right on the beach?
Additional Details
I'm single. I would move there for the constant beach activities. I love partying. I would have a moderate car, like a Civic (stock).

$50,000.00 would be enough to live in San Diego, but NOT on the beach.

Sorry.

Maybe at an income of $50,000 a month you could afford something beach front. San Diego is very desirable, and beach front is very affluent. I think you would be hard pressed at $50,000 a year to live in San Diego, period.

50,000....your barely twice the poverty
level, and the beach is not in your range.....but maybe further south, Rosareta Beach....................Mexico...

Maybe if you plan to live in the car. Beach side property in San Diego goes for millions. You are barely making minimum wage. There are no low income beach houses. Sorry.

Depends on your needs. Are you alone or with family??

artwhiterealtor
Possibly if you live modestly and don't take on a car payment, but can pay cash for your car. Rents are expensive in California. Check on Craigslist for typical local rents. Gas is also expensive.

Tim
No. It will be at least $5000 a month in rent and that itsn't much of a house.

$50,000 is less than the median income. There are areas that you will be able to live for $50,000. Parts of El cajon, Escondido, etc. They do have buses that run to the beach.

about a thousand per month. That's 25% of your income before taxes! See below for the zipcodes choose where you might want to live.
Read the online newspapers and see if you can get more than one job in that area! in case the first one doesn't work out! then search www.realtor.com by zipcode for rentals and see what you get. IF the job works out then think about buying- check out on realtor.com what the lowest priced home that looks good is going for and think about what you really want to do. Good luck from a practical old Realtor!

Depends if you have a modest lifestyle then yes but to live comfortably in a nice home and not having to deal with roommates then it is no. Maybe you and your friend turned enemy can share a place there. LOL.

Not if you want to have any kind of standard of living. It is extremely expensive. If you want to live on or near a beach, try the panhandle of Florida. Much more reasonable.

"You are barely making minimum wage", ok REALTOR, what college did you go to to get a degree for that job... Century 21 University LOL! The guy asked a question, no need to be a dick because you are unable to post an intelligent response. I have found that 90% of REALTORS are usually, uneducated scruffs that have no other means of getting a real job = you.
