The Rock and Sock Connection
Would you rather live in a small apartment in the city, or a big house in the country?

small apartment in the city. I like to be where the action is. a big house in the country would be nice and quiet, but could also get boring, plus I'm not much of a country girl!

Michelle
big house in the country............both are things i want.

Big house in the country, if I had the choice!!

I live in a big 5 bedroom house on 5 acres in the country. My children have left the nest so I made one of bedrooms into an office/computer repair room and another into an entainment room with a tv, vcr, dvd player, 500 movies, and 2 computers. I also have an attached 400 square foot woodworking shop. 5 dogs, 3 horses and gardening also keep me occupied. Why would I ever want to live in a small cramped apartment?

No question here!! Big house in the country. You can actually hear the crickets and see the stars in the summer and in the winter, it can get so quiet and still especially when the snow is falling. You can almost hear yourself think. The silence is beautiful!!!

Definitely a big house in the country. This may be anecdotal, but I've heard that people in the city aren't as healthy as people who live in the city.

It depends on age, I think. Now that I am older (have a 14 year old and am 35, so I'm not ancient - but older), I would live in a house in the country. When I was younger, I dreamed of the city life (which is also a dream that could only be a small apt). I think it depends on where you are in life. If you are in the middle about which is better for you, I would ride it out where you are until you know for sure. Investing in real estate is a huge deal. But more importantly you should love where you are. Both have huge pros and cons. Evaluate which are bigger. Good luck!

I'd but a big house where we all could live.

Definitly a big house in the country. Today life seems to be moving at an extremly fast pace, its hard to have time to yourself, and finding silence or a time where things have calmed down enough to find quiet is super hard in the city. Living in the country would offer a more calm and relaxed environment and a big house, would be perfect for having a big family. In the country there is lots of room to let the kids roam! City life although exciting at times, and filled with many opperatunites, is not the life for me.

Small apartment in the city. It's about the people and the business. I want to be close to a lot of people - AND I want to be close to the store, the theatre, my work, school - etc. I get nervous in the country. I feel too removed. A big house wouldn't make up for that.

Of course a HUGE house in the city - would be the BEST. But you didn't offer that as an option.

small apartment...im a city girl!

How about a big house in the city? An old one with some history. That would be my choice.

An Apartment shows how much you like to be near your work ... for me, I like to be nearer where I would prefer to spend the weekend - House in the Country!

I live in a country town 45 mins from Melbourne, Australia. Many commute to the big city for work, and have a house where the crime/ulcers/traffic is MUCH lower.
We are also nearer the surf beaches here.

City apartment for shops and nightlife is fine if your credit card can handle the over usage.

Big house in the city

Brian
it depends if you live alone or with a roommate. Either way, i would live in apartment in the city. becuase city has everything near (less than 0.3 mile distance). And if you live in an apartment, it is easier to clean the house and less payment goes into electric and water bills.
