one person is not eligle for housing benefit on a 3 bedroom house. beggars cant be choosers and you will have to find a job and work hard to earn a 3 bedroom place like the rest of us.for more info go to http://directgov.co.uk

Hi, I work for benefits
There is nothing to stop you from renting a 3 beroom property, but when you claim benefit they will only pay you the amount you would get for a one bedroom property, the remainder you would have to pay yourself unless you are under 25, then you will only get the rate of a single room |

They will pay for A 1 bed but if you want to live in a 3 bed you will have to pay the rest of whatever the rent is. I asked the DSS the same question & this is what they told me' You could share the 3 bed if you have anybody you know who needs somewhere to live, that wouldn't pose a problem. Hope this helps! |

it depends on whether you are renting from the council, they will, or buying the house, only the interest on mortgage payments will be paid.best to ask at your local DSS only they can tell you what you are entitled to. |

DSS MIGHT pay for such a dwelling if it is being rented to you at the substantially low price for a ONE bedroom house.
1 person = 1 bedroom
$= 1 bedroom house
$$$ = 3 bedroom house
$ ≠$$$
If they do this style of math, while there are married couples with children and perhaps an elderly parent also, who have been burned out of, had their homes destroyed by hurricanes, tornadoes & mudslides, or because cranes fell their homes -- Someone needs to take a closer look at the DSS.
It's there for those times when you need TEMPORARY assistance until you get back on your feet. It is not a gateway to make additional money renting out extra rooms you don't need or making it easier for someone to get foster children ($$$$) just for the money at some future time.
DSS - would then have to change it's name to Do Stay Scammin' |
