It all depends on the terms o the contract. I.e. it will specify whether there are conditions that someone can be released from it. Sometimes there's a cool off period before things are finalized. Also, the time limit for when the title should be released should also be spelled out in the Terms and Conditions.
If you're still not sure then contract a couple different real estate agents and brokers. My guess is you'll get different answers. Then contact a lawyer who will usually give you a few minutes of their time since they want to know if you're a prospective client or not.
In general though, if they signed, then you should hold them to it. Otherwise the signature means nothing. |
