To be sure, ask your caseworker
The thing is, you have to report any income you make to your caseworker, and if you make too much doing this childcare stuff, you could be cut off of Section 8 benefits. |

No. One of the rules of the Section 8 program is that you cannot operate a business enterprise in the rental apartment. You can check with someone at the housing agency but if I am right and this is a violation of the Section 8 program, you could be evicted and lose your Section 8 voucher. One of the reasons is the landlord agrees to take your voucher knowing who will be occupying the apartment and if there are kids going in and out every day, they will know they don't belong to you. You would be taking a risk. |
