wytchey you are wrong. It was Jeremy Clarkson that said the same thing as you just did and to prove it he printed his details in a national newspaper. It was the next month that he found he was singed up to 4 charity's(nice way of proving this) where he had direct debits in place. hah! about the question - relist it. |

Don't do it! Just wait, never give out your personal details to anyone. If they can't pay, it's their fault. You can wait or cancel the order if they can't sort it out within the stipulated time period. |

I think you better check the website's guidelines first, if I was you, I would not pass on my bank details, especially by email... |

That sounds fair, coz if you're not verified i think you need to do this to become verified. Anyway don't give her your bank details coz it'll take ages for payment to get to your account. She should have made sure she had means to pay before she won the item. Relist the item, free of charge through ebay- if she wants to rebuy she can!! |

Hello never ever give out your bank details, although it will be to pay money in she could easily use it to withdrawl money as she also has your address from when you both received the invoice. Ask her to send you a cheque but make sure you do not dispatch any goods until the cheque has cleared.
I have recently had some problems with Ebay and my account was used to buy multiple mobile phones and the man even got into my email account changed my password and re-directed all incoming emails to his address, which scared me. He also used my Paypal account to buy some of the purchases, luckily I had already Paypal so they refused the payment, however I reported it to the Police and where the man lived in manchester the Police decided to question the man and found transactions of him using other peoples accounts as well as mine to purchase phones and the same as what you were asked for took money from people account by asking for there details becuase he apparently had trouble paying!
Now I never trust any emails as scammers still use the logo to make it ligitimate. |

I'm sure they are just trying to get you your money and not trying to look odd, but don't give them your info. I would either wait for paypal or let them mail you a check and then don't mail the Wii until the check clears. |

Just ask for a cheque.
If you don't get a cheque or it looks dodgy, report them to ebay. |

Tell them to send you a cheque and wait for it to clear before sending the goods.
They are obviously new to ebay and paypal and what they say about confirming their credit card details etc is correct. To verify them paypal will send a very small deposit to their bank account, 20 - 40 pence and they have to wait until that is cleared through their account and then give paypal the transaction reference number.
I would hesitate about sending your bank details to strangers. Settle for the cheque. |

ok, well never ever give anyone your bank account details unless you know and trust them, and if they want to send you a cheque then tell them you can accept (that is if you accept cheques) but say you cannot send their item until it has cleared. alternatively you could just wait until their paypal account has confirmed their details. |

Don't do it! Never ever Ebay wouldn't do that. We deal with them often and never ever have we gave out this information. You don't know this person and you wouldn't give a stranger on the street you bank infor don't give a stranger. Sounds fishy! |

She's telling the truth about paypal code on bank statement so no need to assume she's out to con you. Also, I don't think anything can happen when you give out account number and sort code other then having money payed in. If you're uncomfortable with it though just let her send you a cheque. Since she has delayed payment because of paypal, she won't mind waiting while a cheque clears before you send item. |

she can quite easily ring her bank and ask for the code, tell her to do that your not giving out bank details or accepting cheques etc |

If you give your account number and sort code the only thing someone can do with that is pay money in, either by internet or phone banking or at a branch.
They can't possibly access your account either in branch or over the net without knowing other security details about you...e.g. with net banking they would need your passcode and registration numbers, and in a branch your card and normally ID as well to draw money out.
I personally think as long as you just give the account number and sort code thats fine. |
