Hi there! I am selling my iPod docking station, I bought it for 79.99 Euros, it is 5 months old but only used for one week! He has offered me £20 including postage... Does this seem fair?
Also, Am I allowed to sell this item? Here is his question..

Don't do it, you will receive a fake paypal email saying you need to post the item before paypal will realise the payment into your account. You will post the item, which to be honest is worth more the £20 and never recive any payment. Take your chances through ebay, or if your willing to settle for £20. Cancel the current listing, and make a new one as buy it now - you will ahve ebay and paypal protection and he gets his item on the cheap. If he says no, hes scamming you. |

yes you could do t , but to keep it right with Ebay you should really cancel the listing as it is now and put the item back up as a "buy it now" for the price metioned in the email - or you could edit the item as it stands now and add the "buy it now" price |

No, this is against Ebay rules, and you could be taken off their list. The only way you can do it and stay with the rules is to reduce the price or put a Buy It Now tag on it and make your buyer go through that route.
You can do this by revising your listing. |

He is pulling a fast one. He is trying to get it cheap. Tell him no and that you will take your chances with the auction. It does happen and some people accept it, personally it is not for me AND you have no guarentees he is going to pay etc and you will not be covered by ebay rules and safeguards. |

It is a SCAM...don't sell it...the buyer will send you a fake paypal email...notice that it won't actually be from paypal.com but from a different email. SO DO NOT SELL |

Only you can decide if it's a fair offer.
Other than that.....
You can't add a Buy It Now price if the item already has bids
You can't add a BIN at all if you have less than 10 feedback
Seasoned buyers take advantage of newbie sellers and try to get items at a 'steal' price
Why is he so keen to save your eBay fees? It's no skin off his nose if you have to pay them or not (you still have to pay the PayPal fee anyway)
Why is he so keen to emphasise that he's putting 'trust' in you - that rings alarm bells for a start!
You should not even think about doing an off-eBay deal as you would have no protection whatsoever if anything went wrong with the deal (although this is more important from a buying point of view than a selling one)
If you do decide to go through with it, log into your PayPal account and make sure that the money is definitely safe in there before you send out the item - make CERTAIN that is says 'completed' beside the transaction.

Yes you can end the item. If you go into your selling items list and select the drop down next to it that says end item then it's done. You can then accept his payment and the deal is done! |
