Definitely Craigs List.

I've listed cars, trailers, a motorcycle, etc and had buyers in 15 minutes or less. It's a classified site, not auction. But it works and it's totally free.

I would reccomend having a look at Amazon as well if you havn't done so already. There are many 2nd hand things to buy/sell there - not just books. They give buyers the option to get a 2nd hand item for a cheaper price should they not want to get the more expensive new item.

gumtree is excellent and each city has its own contents

Use Amazon it is the best you can either buy it new from amazon or sellers that are cheaper and you can sell for your own price the site does not charge you anything to put your item on there like ebay does

i always use the jumbo webpage. offers a similar service but obviously the number of people buying the paper is lower than the number of hits ebay gets by a huge amount
