There are a lot of real work at home jobs out there. You didn't say what your qualifications were, what type of job your looking for to telecommute with or anything. So the best thing I can do is refer you over to this article on home based jobs. There's a few companies there that have telecommuting positions available. You can read about these companies, and see if they have something that you can do.

Most of them are scam.. they ask for upfront payment and guarantee that you'll cover it in days.. but then they disappear..
elance and guru are good option you can try to explore others as well.

I just started a home based internet travel business a month ago. It had a low or no start-up fee and a lot of support from the company. It is a word of mouth business because that is your advertisement. You are basically referring people to your booking engine and if they book or purchase anything, you receive a percentage of the commission. If you are a hard worker and a great marketer, this might be the profession for you. |

I just had my first baby 10 months ago and have been looking for a legitimate work at home job that doesn't require me to be in front of my computer or a phone from 9-5 but that can make some money. I was doing surveys online, but they seem to take a little while and you don't end up making much money. I found those to be better for college students who don't have a mortgage to pay. :)
Check www.wahm.com. It's a work at home website for moms and there are job posted on there every day, but I've yet to find something that will fit with my schedule.
A few months ago I did find a website that I thought was interesting. It came across as "cheesy" at first, but once I started reading and found out what the program really was, I was intrigued. I think it promises more money than, in reality, a stay at home mom can make, but it has enabled me to make some residual income for our family of 3. I also liked that it's NOT MLM, tier, or any other "upline" type business. Those, most times, require to you have parties, make cold calls, etc... In this business, you literally work for yourself. It works great for me so I have time to do things like nurse, play, and run errands with my son.
The training is all included and it's very easy to set up. It requires about 15 hours per week of work, but I have found that to be worth it.
It's turned out to be a great residual income for our family of 3 and I hope it can become a great income for you too!

I knew some people who worked for a uniform supply company once, and they did it all at home. The pay wasn't great-- amounted to about $7 or $8 an hour. A guy would deliver boxes every day. They basically started with boxed gloves and aprons, folded them up or put them together, and stuffed them into little plastic vending packages. Then back into the boxes. It was really lame because they would invite me over to help with an order that they procrastinated on. And if they didn't finish the delivery guy would get really angry. |
