To tell you the truth.... Mary Kay has changed my life. I married young and had children right away and we chose to homeschool them. I joined MK to make a little extra money, that was in 2003. I am now a Sr. Director and I do drive a free car. My family now has 2 incomes, but I am still home with our children. It is true that you have to be willing to learn and you need to be self motivated. You are starting your own business and if you treat it like a business it will pay like a business. Treat it like a hobby and it will pay like a hobby. This is a company based on Christian principles of putting God first, family second, and career third. Hope this helps! Just remember there are people who fail in every career, you cant let them determine your future! If you are looking for a consultant to work with, feel free to contact me. www.marykay.com/rmcconnell1 |

If you are willing to put in the hours...you will make a good living at it. |

My cousin is doing great with it and moved up very fast. She does it full time and loves to talk. To do well with it, you have to be a go-getter and take every opportunity you have. |

I saw start out part-time and if you build enough clientel and you have a great income, then you can make the decision to do it full-time. That's just my honest opinion. |

I was the top Mary Kay rep in the town I lived in and found the product to be very good. The reason I left was I just wasn't earning the income I expected and I got tired of the Rah Rah meetings twice a week. Mary Kay has already gone through their hyper-growth stage, meaning their time for earning exceptional income has passed. You may want to consider a company that has not yet reached that phase. |

You need to be very organized and able to be a self starter. It is also good if you have some money to invest in stock to keep on hand. It can be a very lucrative career if you have the enterprise and motivation to keep at it even though it may be slow and small money at first. My daughter does Mary Kay full time and has moved up very rapidly. It only took her 3 years to be high enough to drive the Pink Cadilac for free, which means she is doing Very well indeed |

I am a MK consultant and find it a great opportunity. I have to be honest, I am still working a regular job, but I have two friends who have got to quit their job and do MK full time--they are doing great. You do have to be a go getter. But if you are recruited by the right person, they will help you everystep of the way. It is great!!
