The problem with your question is, if people actually know of a legitimate home based business, that means they are already in it right? So you ask that people not try to add you to their downline, yet you are looking for Network Marketing, and that's what we do. I started a business of my own but it does not involve working at home just in homes.
I do make readys for real estate agents and large apartment communities. I don't have to worry about people being there I'm in there cleaning 'cause someone moved out.
Don't quit your day job, start out part time making a reputation for yourself. You can have free business cards made to pass out and they will only cost you for shipping.
The only other thing you need are cleaning supplies. You probably already have them on hand.
I started out charging by the size of the unit. Say $45.00 for a 1 bdrm and $60 for a two and so on.
Sometimes it takes you a long time and it's messy but, I found that most of the time I could do the job quickly. It all weighs out.
Don't take on carpet cleaning. Let the guys with the big guns do that. You can However, sub contract to them.
You'll need a city & county license but they are cheap. For me 1 year $12.00.
The more do you do the more you will make. And if you get to a point where it's too much for one person, get a helper.
