cbell31 | Anyone know of a legitimate home based business I can do in my spare time? |
I am looking for a way to earn extra cash from home and I was wondering if anyone had any work from home possibilities. I am not looking for any get rich quick scheme or a company thats asks you to buy a membership such as the mystery shopper scams that you pay to get a list of possibilities that are all outdated and useless. You all know those type schemes, no interest in those. I've done EBAY but am out of stuff to sell there. I am not looking to make myself rich or quit my day job but am willing to invest money on a legitimate opportunity that can net me $500-$1000 a month. |

I can tell from your very detailed question you have been hit up by friends and family in the past for some sketchy business ideas or MLM's.
I have been working with a company called Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc. They have been in business for over 30 years, publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange and is the fastest growing employee benefit in the US. We are being highlighted on CourtTV on January 19th. Pre-Paid Legal is most definitely not a get rich quick company but there are individuals who are making 6 figure incomes. $500-$1000 is very attainable working with Pre-Paid Legal part time. If you would like the commission plans or any other information about it I will be happy to get it to you. Call or email me.
Best Wishes,

My wife and I do Mia Bella Gourmet Candles. We started 3 months ago and love it. Startup is very little and you only buy and sell inventory as much or as little as you want. www.nicholsmiabella.scent-team.com You only pay $40 a month and that gets you 1 of the jar candles, 12 votives, 1 Gourmet Soap and you website. We have done craft shows, fundraisers, and just selling in my office. If you have more questions e mail me at jnichols@comware.com |

No inventory. No selling. Just try the products and tell friends about them. It's that simple. Start up cost is $29 (with a website included) and around $50 a month for products that you use in your own home. |

I believe medical transcription is a valuable work at home opportunity to get into. Also, check out this website: http://www.dailycashideas.com. It gives ideas to those who want to create a work at home business...If you want to carry on with your eBay business, I would research drop-shippers. They provide goods for you to sell, and they handle all the back-end fulfillment duties (ie. holding inventory, shipping, customer service, etc.) |

In all hosesty, to make $500-$1,000.00 in your spare time requires a bit more than just your spare time. Research is essential as there are so many scams. Many opportunities provide work, but it is sporadic work.
An idea is affiliate marketing. Create a good website or blog on a topic that interests you, provide quality content that your readers enjoy, and place some adsense ads and/or other affiliate products (related to your site's topic) within your site. This may net you a few hundred dollars after a few months, however, a lot of work is required in order to market your site. |

Wow! You provided a great description of what you are looking for. That's great. I think that the best way to avoid the get quick rich schemes and to have a legitimate business, is to create the business that you are searching for. It sounds like you are willing to invest some time to building your business to. You could build a website that is centered around your interests/hobbies/desires and position yourself in front of a target market that is already searching for what you have to offer. I have found a web host that assists in building online businesses that are just like that. Does it sound to good to be true? Take a look at http://www.tobuildyour.com and see for yourself. It has helped me to build my business online. I have to say it took a lot of real work to build my business, but after just two short months of hard work my website was receiving consistent targeted traffic without advertising. I hope this will help you to build the business that you are looking for. Feel free to send me a message if I can answer any questions about building a website.
BEST WISHES & HAPPY HOLIDAYS! |

Okay, you have to first understand that there is a HUGE difference in "Work from Home" opportunities and "Home Based Business" opportunities.
Work from home opportunities are exactly just that... work that you can do from the comfort of your home.
This type of work should NOT require an outlay/investment of money from your pocket to start, as you should be working for a legit company and or companies from the comfort of your home which obvioulsy has a lot of advantages.
A Home Based Business opportunity usually requires an invest or outlay of funds from you to get started as you would be running a business from the comfort of your home.
The latter, although very profitable and advantageous can also be very risky and time consuming if you don't know what you are doing, don't really have the mindset and willpower to own and operate a BUSINESS from your home or are dealing with a scam type business.
I noticed that you asked for information about a legitimate Home Based Business, however, you also asked for Work From Home possibilities. Being that the amount of money you stated that you are looking to bring in is $500-$1000 per month I am going to assume that you really mean a Work From Home opportunity being that with a legitimate Home Based Business your return on investment/profits should be way more than mearly $500-$1000 per month.
That being stated, I will provide you with a company that I currently work for and you can investigate it to see if it's right for you.
This Work From Home opportunity/company is very pleasant I find personally and pays very well which can be done on a part time and or full time basis (part time you can make $300-$600 weekly/ Full time you can make $600-$1,500 weekly).
No experience is neccessary as they will provide you with training, it is a 100% COMMISSION ONLY position, No Sales, No cold calling (clients will call you) and you are paid WEEKLY by direct deposit.
The requirements that you have to meet are:
* Be 18 years of age or older
* Have a GED or High School Diploma
* Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
* Have a active telephone number and Internet connection
* Be able to pass a background check
The position is for a Credit Restoration/Repair Rep and the company is New Age Career.
Feel free to go to their corporate website for further information (this is required before someone from their human resources dept will speak with you).
Go to http://www.newagecareer.com/
Hope this information helps you. |
