I started with eBay and $25 to buy a vendors license and over a 2 year period expanded to 100k in annual sales. First i started selling stuff around the house and eventually found vendors to buy stuff to resale. I now operate a website and sell on other sites such as amazon. Stay away from drop shippers. Stay away from traditional wholesalers (those that advertise as wholesalers.. most are scams or really just selling you crap at retail prices)... Find very small companies that sell unique products in an area you are interested in and approach them either in person or by email. Be persistent. Whenever I approach a new vendor now I do it with a chunk of money wanting to order their stuff. I never borrow money and only grow as fast as the business allows... I am not 100% self supported yet because I keep investing my profits back in the business. Its 100% hard work for the first year or two and evn now it is hard because I am working on more and more projects and deals to keep growing. Nothing will be easy.. but its worth it especially if you do not have debt hanging over your business. Never start anything you have to buy a kit for. Most websites for work at home stuff are scams.... good luck. |

I'm disabled, but started and ran an online lingerie shop. Took about a year to get orders regularly and at that time I was unable to handle the stress (it would have been easy for anyone else, that's why I'm disabled). The most important factor in running a home business is doing something that you are interested in. There are so many different opportunities available...find one and research them.
The best thing about eBay is that no matter what you are interested in you can buy and sell on eBay.
I have been on eBay for over 10 years and have done hundreds of thousands of dollars in transactions.
I have found that the people that are doing what they like naturally suceed in what they do. |
