I'm selling an item. When someone buys my item and pays to my Paypal, how long will it take until I receive that payment? Will it only take a second or a couple of days? (Selling in US only) |

Normally, when a buyer pays through paypal, you get an email immediately from paypal saying you have cash in your account. At that point, you can transfer it to your bank, or take your paypal atm/mastercard and withdraw the cash or use the atm card anywhere that takes it.
Sometimes buyers pay by echeck through paypal which takes 3 to 4 days to clear. Paypal will email you when it clears. |

Either I am misunderstanding your question or the other people answering are. You will receive payment to your PAYPAL account instantly, but for you to deposit it from your paypal to your bank, to actually receive any payment at all takes a few days. |

As soon as the buyer pays via paypal, you will see it in your paypal account in a matter of seconds, along with a confirmation email if you have that set up. |

it depends on if they pay when they buy it or not. Usually they pay instantly so the money is on your account the instant they pay. Othertimes its a day or two before they get around to paying. JUST DO NOT SHIP THE ITEM BEFORE YOU HAVE PAYMENT |

when the person makes a payment to you via paypal, it is instantly in your account, UNLESS the person has a bank account linked to paypal, and it using the bank account to fund his paypal account.
In this case, you will get a message from paypal that the person has "paid" but it will take 3-5 days for the funds to clear his account. Paypal will then advise you not to ship your item until they advise you that the funds have cleared. Paypal will advise you how to proceed :)

it may take a few days to process. but the amount should show-make sure your e-mails match up to your paypal account, because i had a different e-mail for e-bay than my paypal account, so my money did not show until i changed that. |
