I am desperately trying to work from home so I can be a mother to my kids. I have lots of experience in sales, advertising, marketing, computer/internet work, etc. Just something on the computer would be great. I am not looking for one of those programs where you pay money to be an indepedent rep. I tried a few of those already and frankly I have wasted my money. I need something that I can do day or night from home, that does not require me to pay a start up fee or deposit. Can anyone please help ? Thanks to all who respond. |

Yes there are work at home jobs that are not a scam, you will need to find a reputable site like Monster.com or CareerBuilders.com . If you find an ad that says work at home JOB and they require money up front its a scam. But if it says work at home BUSINESS OPP, its not a scam. It is however NOT something your looking for...that is owning your own business not having a job.

I agree with the advice of 'Address man" But there are many ways to earn money online. Example Freelance writing, copy writing etc, if you are good in english. And what about web publishing. it is one way you can earn money. Start your own blog or website and start publishing Ads from reputed company like google (Adsense), Adbrite,widgetbucks, Text ad links,Bidvertiser etc. you can find many good more from www.ad-publisher.blogspot. |

No. My opinion is that if you don't have things to sell on Ebay or are some sort of freelancer (eg, a graphic artist) that their aren't many of these get rich quick work at home schemes that are anything but a scam.
Be advised that the minute you post a question like this, you will get answers from scammers who will try to sell you one of these things.

I agree with what you're saying but I need to add that its not easy to make money at those things. The blog has to attract a great deal of traffic to generate revenue so you have to have an idea that will do so. I've not made very much money and I'm extremely good at it. |

Usually no, there are mostly all scams. Escpecially if you have to give them money before you start working there. Now, if you have a specialty like a CPA or wedding planner or consultant, yea its possible to work from your home. But sorry buddy, ive been looking forever too. No luck for me either. |
