Are there any good home based business's out there?

I'm looking at starting my own home based business, is there anyone that have any ideas on some home based business's that are around?

As some of the answers say, setting up a home based business does involve some financial outlay. The one I have requires a small sum to be paid to start, but this business requires no selling, rather we help people save money on services they use everyday.
At present we are launching a new service which is already a world leader and that is only in 2 countries, by the end of this year it will be available in 15 more countries, and is creating real excitement in those countries already.

A home based business is just like any other business, it'll only be "good" if the product or service is something that you can get excited about and the corporation is one in which you believe.

Whatever you choose, be careful and do your due dilligence. While there are many legit opportunites, there are just as many scams. One great resource is http://www.dsa.org (Direct Sellers Association). You can be certain that if a company is a member of the DSA, they are legit.

I have searched and been scammed several times from work at home scams. It is my suggestion to you to not get involved with any, especially if you have to pay to work with them.

Most mystery shopping companies are legitimate, but if you don't report to them correctly they will not pay you. I made a little extra money that way, but not enough to say hey do this.

This is what I am doing. After doing party plans and going into debt (I had to learn the hard way!) I decided that the only way I was going to work from home was to bulid my own online business. But, I am not a computer geek. So I thought it was useless. That's until I stumbled upon SBI. It is a program that teaches you how to build your own business and web-site based upon a hobby, passion, interest or knowledge that I already have. If you want to start a home based business, there will be fees involved and business expenses. There are many legit business opportunities out there in direct sales, multi-level and network marketing. There are great companies to work with, but having a business isn't for everyone. It's worked real well for us. I now work this full-time and my wife works it part-time. This job can be done over the Internet, over the phone, or in person and is LEGIT !!! F/T, P/T, Free Training, Low Investment, No Inventory, No Sales.
If youâ€™re serious about being your own boss, making an honest income commensurate with the effort you put forth.
