Mow your neighbors lawn! |

First, sell the clothing in a consignment shop or on eBay. Most consignment shops give you 50% of whatever they get, but some are changing to 40%, so check it out.
Second, consider mowing lawns, working at a summer camp as a counselor-in-training (most towns and many churches have these), delivering newspapers, and similar jobs that teens have done for years.
And don't babysit for people that won't pay you! You deserve better. Make sure your babysitting rate is competitive and find paying customers. Ask friends for referrals.
For the other jobs, tell your school counselor that you are interested. He or she may know of people looking for teens.
In some cities and towns, there are special work programs for teens as well. |

ask the nice old lady or man if they'll pay you to do their lawn and do it once a week for about lets say a $20.00 then do the the ppl- that live next to them and the ppl- that live next to them ect ect ect ...
soon you'll have 5 ppl giving you 100.00 for that week cool huh I would if i was 13 and wanted some funds |

What I did is get my lawnmower and go ask people if they would let me mow thier yard. I charged 20 dollars per yard (fronts and backs = 20 bucks) It is cool you get like 60-80 dollars a week if you do a good job! Another thing is Wash cars, you put your own prioce to that. Just do about 8.00 for a car; 10.00 for SUV/Van; not much money but oh well it gives you some money for your age. Also you could walk dogs for your "summer job"
Or what most teens do is try to get a job at an ice cream parlor or somthing easy. I knwo some Chick-fil-a's are hirieng people at the age 15 or 16 older
Mcdonalds too |

Get your workers permit from your guidance counsler at school. Go to a bunch of local shops or convience stores and apply. Make sure you talk to the manager or the one hiring. It will be very helpful to make it known you need the job! |

You can detassel corn. My boys do this every summer. It is not a very fun job but it is only about 2 weeks long. The harder you work the more you are paid. Check around your area and see if there are any detasseling companies. Our boys work for "Team Corn" |

And why can't you have a sale? Lack of location to set up?
You could go in on a sale with friends on their driveway or
their cleaned up garage. Then you could not only hang up
your clothes to display them for sale, but you could also have
a set up to sell drinks as well, and home made candy and
cookies. Summer is the best time to roll out the sale items
and make a profit. But you have preparation involved. Making
signs to tack onto street corners with your address, and
arrows, and the time and dates. And your clothes have to
be clean and not wadded up or wrinkled. Display them, like
you'd like to buy them. Have a table for other unwanted things, but don't sell personal items such as old makeup. But people will buy colognes new and used. Shoes clean and not run down, and any type of accessory will appeal to alot of people. The things that cost more in stores will attract the garage sale shopper. They are looking for bargains, cheaper than most of the thrift stores prices too. Also beware of the person who wants something for nothing, to not take advantage of you. But do price cheaply.
That aside, you can also hire out for neighborhood clean
up jobs for those who work. You can mow lawns, you can
wash the outsides of windows, you can weed flower beds,
and you can edge or trim yards. You could also collect old
newspapers and take them to a recycler, you could run an
errand service like picking up things for people or making
deliveries of things. You could maybe try to work part time
at local stores that want assistants to help in some way. I'm
talking privately owned, rather than chains. Maybe you are
old enough to bag peoples' groceries? I'm not sure what that
age required is, but you could check.
One of the better jobs is walking peoples' dogs who don't
have time for it. That can pay very well when you can be
relied upon to take neighbors dogs to a park or a walk around the block who live nearby. The more leads you can handle with one hand, the more money you can earn. Just make sure you don't have too large of a dog that will pull you and go where it wants to. Or you'll be pulled in different directions.
You can also be a 'pet sitter', by taking pets for a few days
into your home and care for them when people are on
vacation. But you'd have to get your parents approval with
this and all of the other jobs I've mentioned.
I hope I've given you some ideas. And I admire you for
wanting to earn your own money. It can make someone
feel really special to spend the money they have earned
themselves. You find out what things are the most important
to spend your money on and not waste it.
Good luck! |

i don't know if this suggestion valid to you, but at my town, most kids around your age mow lawn for the neighbors for money over the summer (as in summer job). |

Queenie knows it all.

You can stop thinking that you "can't" do things. Go up off your petootee and be creative! |
