After reading the initial responses you got to this question I have only one suggestion - RUN FOR THE HILLS.
This question will bring the scammers running. |

Hi,
This truly is not just about making money but having safe products in your home for you and your family. If you are interested in a home based business than you can e-mail us back at cleanandsafehome@yahoo.com and we can give you the details. We are not going to give all the hype that people look for but just tell you the truth. We don't sell, deliver or stock products. The name of our company that we work with is Melaleuca and we are proud to say their name. It is not a scam or an MLM company, it is a 500 Inc. company that care’s about people and enjoys paying them for referring people to them and it is as simple as that. It is truly a great story about this company. Let us know if you would like to learn more.
Thanks,
Rich & Teresa |

If you're looking for something for free, then you're looking for a "job" and not a "business".
You counldn't start your own store without an investment, why do you think you could start an at home business without an investment? |

you hit the nail on the head!
these are scams. all of them have one thing in common - exploitation.
they exploit you, then they turn you into an exploiter.
let me explain. when you sell their products to your friends, the products are overpriced and you are putting emotional pressure on them to buy even though it costs more than say Walmart/Sams Club + poorer quality.
they are exploiting you because it is a pyramid scheme. They cannot compete on a fair basis with other products, so they rely on you to pressure your friends - apart from the stuff they force you to buy.
Here is a simple trick to catch them - to find the truth. Ask them for their last year IRS tax returns on the business. Ask them to show you how much they made from recruiting vs. selling. Look at their accounts.
When my wife did the calculation (after being suckered into Mary Kay for 3 years), she found that her director made a great salary of $80K per year. BUT she sold very little actual goods (and all to her recruits), so the director actually made less than $6 per hour. Which means all the rest was from exploitation!
They are all the same. If you want to investigate, then simply go to a search engine like google and type in for example, "melaleuca scam", and read what has been posted by burnouts.
The sad thing is, Christians and poor immigrants are suckered into them (these scams thrive in churches of all places).
They will exploit you, turn you into an exploiter, and you will be known as a 'user' and lose all your friends. |

Anyone who tells you it's not scam is a scam artist him or herself. My mom tried this before and she was scammed. No promises on behalf of these "companies" were ever fulfilled. The only people making six figures working at home are thoe ones at the top who created the scam itself and are watching the money roll in from unsuspecting victims.
My best advice is to check the company on the Better Business Bureau website to determine if it's legitimate.
http://search.bbb.org/
Honestly though, if they were legit, then we would all be making six figures by now. These people need to be put in jail for deceiving others. |

The only way you are going to find anything legit is to get the information first - if they can't or won't honestly answer your questions then you need to make a good decision, just say NO. Although the vast majority of offers are scams, doesn't mean that there aren't any legit home businesses out there - I looked for a long time before I found the business most suitable to me and came with money back guarantees - and I'll admit its the only one that I absolutely felt I couldn't lose with, I mean really - where can you start a home business and if after 4 months you find that it isn't for you, you can get your money back! And remember, having your own business is nothing like working for someone else- where you get paid for showing up whether you work hard or hardly work - a business takes your time and effort if it is going to be lucrative. If you would like to know more simply email me at devlsinc@yahoo.ca because community rules do not allow me to put my site link here. |

I just stumbled upon this one last night. Since you like answering and asking questions (odviously since your on Yahoo answers) why not get paid for it. Go to MyLot -
http://www.mylot.com/?ref=rachelzwo...
and it's the same exact thing as this is, but you get paid to ask and answer questions. You also get paid to upload pictures onto your profile and if other "mylotters" want to use them on their own posts, you can get paid for that too. Another good thing about it is, you get paid for referrals also. You get a certain percentage of what your referrals make. |

As of right now I've enrolled in 2 that dont have associated start up costs tied in with them. They arent million dollar money makers but the extra cash and the long term potential from them are a great way to supplement some income.

I prefer the prizebook site because unlike inboxdollars it is well designed, and has the choice to have your cash deposited directly into a paypal account. |
