Business name??? Any Ideas?
I'm thinking of starting up a professional balloon decorating business - where I decorate party venues with balloons for all sorts of occassions like weddings, birthdays etc
I'm trying to get my stationary sorted out and livery my car but I'm missing one important ingredient!!!! A NAME. Ive been racking my brains for days but can't come up with anything catchy but not cheesy!!! Any ideas would be much appreciated!
Additional Details
I am in the Midlands, UK

just trying to make a difference
How about running a competition in your area through your local newspapers, or with local secondary schools/colleges etc to get all the locals to come up with a name.
That way you get free PR in the local newspapers, school/college newsletters etc both announcing the competition in the first place and then announcing the winner, perhaps with a photo of you handing the competition winner their prize (which doesn't have to be expensive - how about an MP3 player for a tenner?) and if you get photographed with the winning name/logo being held up too then it gets it in front of people right from the start. then once they start to see your business up and running they will already be familiar with the logo/name etc and your business will have instant credibility.

This is just an idea - adapt it at will!

A generic name - totally made up. Then, the website, LTD co name will all be available! Something like:
BHANG!
BLOONS.
HELIA.
HELIUMANIA.
And ALWAYS put a little 'TM' symbol on your logo/name. It adds gravitas, kudos and is totally free to do in the UK (it actually has no legal standing in the UK, only the US,

Universal Love/Truth>Peace
Happy Balloons
Pam's Balloons
Galaxy Balloons
Up,Up & Away Balloons ???

What part of the continent are you located? Since nats 28 is your nickname, why not use it and get creative with it. or make it simple and use your first name followed by the type of decorartion, that might be simple and professional.
Its all in the name. GOOD LUCK!!

Just some sharing. After you have came out with the name, you should check whether you could use that name to apply for a domain name. With that, you could create a website and put in all those decorating balloon into your website and start to attact potential customers.

This will increase your chances of success. You must also try to advertise your webpages using various means.

There is a lot of way to advertise either free or at a very low cost online. These are broadly classified into 3 main area. 1) Buy Traffic 2)Build Traffic and 3)Steal Traffic. All of these are trying to get more visitor to visit your websites and eventually know more of your invention and get the products from you.

I normally use (2) and (3) as some of these methods are often free or at a low cost.

Find out more from the below link, it tell you how to setup a successful online business including the ways for better marketing online. It will tell you what are these steps, the reason for each step, how you could go around doing it and where you could get the necessary resources free or at a low price.

Hope that it will be useful to you.

Big Boll*ocking Balloon Ba*stards.

[edit] OK, OK, how about "Loony Balloony" or something daft like that? Actually, someone suggested a naming competition in the press/media - great idea!

[edit] As I suspected, Wisbom's information about UK trademarks is wildly incorrect. Actually, I'm discussing it here: http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ajt6h5GOR1M5iLXW8rqeZ54ACAx.?qid=20070710023417AAblJ3z

Actually, if you come up with some kind of French or foreign title, that will work. It could mean something cheesy in english, but people may not catch on. Seriously, just do a bit more research and you'll find something worth wild.
