The only way to avoid this is to pay for the shipping confirmation. In the long run, you may save yourself a lot of money because people have been known to say they didn't receive things and get their money back.
He told you he did and then he told you he didn't? Sounds like a scam to me.
Good luck! |

Whenever I sell something on eBay, I always ship the item insured and specify delivery confirmation. Anything less, and you are taking a risk. |

If he didn't pay for insurance on his package, and you have a receipt saying you sent it, then you don't have to do anything unless he files a claim. |

If you didn't pay for recorded delivery, there really is no way of telling. Maybe the Post Office has lost them?
If he has already given you positive feedback, then that is his problem. |

make sure you get delivery confirmation it's only 65 cents and you get a tracking number so you can avoid these situations. |

You should have found out how much it would have cost for insurance or to have it sent certified (meaning he would have to sign a slip saying it was delivered). You could also use a shipper that can track your package, like UPS.
Did you ask the buyer why you received +feedback if they didn't receive it? If you sent it, tell him you sent it, and to be patient. The worst he can do is leave you negative feedback. You can always make a new ebay account, close the old one, and never hear from him again. |

Firstly, the post office don't consider it lost for about a month. Keep in contact with your buyer and assure him they are on the way but there is a postal strike going on!!
Secondly, if you don't even had a proof of posting certificate, you will have to refund and take the loss. If you DO have a proof of posting, you can claim from the post office after about a month, up to the cost of a first class stamp x 10 (I think £32.00)
Finally, check his feedback and make sure he doesn't make a habit of doing this sort of thing. Good luck |
