Start with PTA meetings or through your school itself. Ask families you know to help through word of mouth. That's a quick way of starting. |

go to your local elem. school and put a flyer on the msg board. The grocery store, the local paper. Have refs. ready and be willing to answer a lot of questions.. Moms are very picky! |

One of the best suggestions I have for you is advertising at your school. A lot of time teachers need babysitters and don't know who to turn to. That's an obvious, safe place to start. You can also do flyers around your area and the newspaper. Just be careful...I don't know how old you are, but the first time you go to a new place, you might want to not go alone. |

First of all u will need a few decent references to give to future employers showing that u are honest decent and grown up enough not to make a mess of it.U will need some experience as well,its very hard work. Then get urself ome flyers printed and post them in shop windows,gyms,kindergartens and anywhere there will be mothers with small children. It can take a while to build up trust but if you start off the right way it will run smoothly.Start off all over the place with no game plan and its all over b4 it even started. Good Luck!! xx |

Grocery store bulletin boards are always a good idea. Make the kind that has your contact information at the bottom on tabs that people can rip off. Also, most people will feel much more comfortable hiring you or your friends if you have references of people that you have babysat for before. Be sure to put on your advertising signs that you and your friends are willing to give references of people that they can contact to learn about you and your history as a babysitter, good luck! |
