That depends on your work ethnics. Primerica is for people who wants to own a business and be their own boss. Its quite impossible to not make money in Primerica, even if its as little as $25. There is large financial need in America. People are in debt, have little or no savings, and many families are going on with life without life insurance, which is a huge financial risk if either parent dies. By getting your appropriate licenses and certifications, you can help a family in all aspects of a financial plan.
But you don't have to wait to get your licenses to make money. Depending which state you live in, you can refer people to an Auto & Homeowner's insurance program and if the person accepts the new insurance, you will get paid. You can also do Prepaid Legal. If you know anyone who needs legal advice or need a Will done or maybe someone who is high risk of getting a speeding ticket or any other legal problems that a person needs to be solved, you can show them the Prepaid Legal service and the client will have access to many attorneys and lawyers across the country. |

As with anything, if you put hard work into it, you should get some sort of Return on Investment. You just have to figure out yourself whether or not that Return on Investment is worth it for you.
Just as an FYI, Primerica is a subsidiary of Citigroup, so as far as it being a legitimate company, I would say yes. As to Amway, that too is a legitimate company. I know people that are making money with that company too...but they WORK.
Personally, I tried the Amway business 3 times and I just never got comfortable with the whole consumer type of sale. I'm much more a B2B salesman. |

Anyone can make money working for any company, provided they work hard enough and long enough.
Having said that, I was "recruited" for Primerica twice and interviewed with them once. I came out of that interview KNOWING that not only would I never work for them, but that I would tell all my friends not to as well.
I also know a couple who got divorced over Primerica's demands on their time and "togetherness" -- maybe they had other troubles as well, but that was the main force behind it, according to them. |

It depends. If you have a lot of friends who you can sell their financial products to, you could make money.
They tried to recruit me and I said "no." I thought the commissions they charged were incredibly high. Also, to me everything about Primerica seemed like multi-level marketing. They go on and on about how much money you can make. Also, they want you to recruit other people into Primerica. I have to agree with the other posters that Primerica was like a cult. I sure didn't want to get involved with them.

If you don't mind hard cold selling, Primerica is okay. Something like http://www.whatisabunza.net is better in that someone else can to the calling for you... and you can actually make more money. |

Avoid them. I checked them out years ago and the first word that came to mind was "CULT". They remind me of the financial equivalent to the Scientologists! |
