You can get a judgment called a lien by petitioning the courts if someone owes you money. |

first you need to sue them, get a judgement and then ask the judge for a satisfaction of judgement, give reasonable time to be paid, then file a lien on the property. the people may pay you but if they do not then you have to wait until they try to seel the house, they can not see until the title is clear, so that will be the time you get your money..
if the amount due you is less than $5,000. sue in small claims court, anything over $5,000. sue in civil court |

only if the money was guaranteed by the house. if it's a lot you could make them bankrupt, then their trustee will be able to put a charge on thier house, but you cant, sorry !! |

Only if they owe you money that was secured against their house (and this was formally agreed, in writing, in accordance with current legislation). Otherwise its the small claims court to sort it out. |

yes but you have to prove they owe you money and it will cost you to do this ..also you are not gauranteed any money back untill the property is sold ....oh and this is the best way to avoid inheritance tax...put a charge on your parents property |

Or, just use some of the threatening letters they have on that website to get your money. It's only $80 (for an entire year) versus an attorney at $200 a hour. |
