yes you can refuse but you have to make sure that when you are setting up the auction that you set a minimun. This way it wont sell if that minimum is not met and you wont get ripped off |

As a buyer, I would know that I couldn't force you to deliver the item and suing you for specific performance over a $100 item isn't worth it.
What I would do--file a non-performing seller report in a heartbeat and leave you negative feedback. eBay can and will suspend you for fee circumvention. You could have started the item out at the price you were willing to accept; you could have protected your investment by using a reserve. Both of those cost more money, so when you cheat and don't use them, it's fee circumvention. Bad feedback can kill future bids. |

if the item has already been bought then legally it can come back on you. If it is still open for bids you can cancel it with some lame excuse. Otherwise you aer opening up a can of worms if you cancel after it is bought. |

Some auctions have a reserve price, a hidden minimum price, on their item.
How it works:
A reserve price is the minimum price a seller is willing to accept for the item.
As a buyer, you are not shown the reserve price, only whether or not the reserve has been met.
The seller is not obligated to sell the item if the reserve price is not met.
The winning bidder must meet or exceed the reserve price and have the highest bid. |

You may get marked down as a seller if you do that. But you can always say no. Or cancel a sale 3 minutes from the end. But that is when the best bidders are thinking of bidding. The best thing to do is when you set out is set a reserve. That's how much you would like the thing to sell for before you list the auction. |

No. That would be fraud.
Before an auction you have the option of placing a reserve price. In the case that nobody bids over the reserve, a sign will show that the reserve is not met. The auction will end with no buyers if nobody bids past the reserve price. |
