Not legally, unless you own the copyright. |

not if they are copies of other peoples work - that is piracy and copyright infringement, punishable by jail time and up to $250,000 in fines PER occurrence |

You can if it is worth taking the chance of getting in trouble with the law. You are breaking the law when you burn the softwar/music/movies in the first place and then you are turning around and trying to make a profit off of something that isn't yours to make a profit off of and that is definitely against the law. DON'T DO IT. |

Only if you have rights to, and since you are selling, that excludes anything with non-commercial terms.
For freeware/open source, it may be worth making clear that the main content is on those terms, the only thing you own is any additional menu / information you provide, and the physical media. |

That is illegal and you can get in big trouble for that. |

Copying software/music is called "software piracy" and copyright infringement and is a federal and international crime. Some stuff you can't even legally copy as a backup for yourself let alone sell it. Ever read the warnings at the beginning of a DVD movie? |

Ebay has strict rules regarding the selling of pirated, copyrighted material. It is not allowed and they will boot your listing. That is the least of your problems. You get caught and you will get the pants sued off of you. Here is a link to Ebay's policy page

I wouldn't recommend it everyone knows you got that from a file sharing site and you would probably be wasting money even trying to post it. I don't think people will buy it because anyone i know already does file sharing. Save your stamps and the ten cents or whatever it costs to post it. |

You can sell anything on ebay. Anything at all. Why stop at burned software? I hear there's quite the market for used nails. |
